Data Science Intern

This position is ideal for individuals passionate about data, eager to learn cutting-edge tools, and ready to make an impact in a fast-paced environment. **Duties** * Assist in designing and implementing machine learning models using frameworks such as TensorFlow and Spark for various projects including natural language processing and unsupervised learning. * Support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes utilizing Talend, Bash scripts, and SQL to prepare datasets for analysis. * Collaborate on database design and management to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of large-scale datasets across Hadoop and big data platforms. * Contribute to model training, evaluation, and deployment workflows leveraging AWS cloud services and model deployment best practices. * Perform data mining and analysis using R, SAS, Python, and other analytics tools to uncover patterns, insights, and trends from complex datasets. * Assist in developing visualizations and dashboards with Looker or similar tools to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders. * Support ongoing research in quantum engineering applications related to AI advancements and machine learning frameworks. **Experience** * Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field with a strong foundation in programming languages such as Python, Java, C, or VBA. * Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS or similar services is highly desirable. * Hands-on experience with big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks is preferred. * Knowledge of SQL databases and database design principles is essential for managing large datasets efficiently. * Understanding of machine learning concepts such as model training, natural language processing (NLP), unsupervised learning techniques, and AI fundamentals. * Exposure to data visualization tools like Looker or equivalent analytics platforms is a plus. * Strong analytical skills complemented by the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
