Technical Support Engineer
Role Description
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the development, maintenance, and performance of the business applications.
**Responsibilities**
* Software Development: Design, develop, and debug applications; implement new features and resolve issues, including integrations involving webhooks and various data sources.
* Testing \& Quality Control: Execute test cases, fix bugs, and optimize performance to ensure reliable and efficient application functionality.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with developers on requirements, code reviews, and feature integration.
* Customer \& System Support: Provide timely technical support, troubleshoot system issues, and guide users on IT systems.
* Application Maintenance: Monitor system health, manage incidents, and perform regular maintenance activities.
* Documentation: Maintain technical documentation and keep support resources up to date.
* Cross-Team Coordination: Collaborate with other teams to gather feedback and continuously improve the product.
* Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
* Goal Alignment: Contribute to company objectives through high-quality, results-driven work.
* Ownership: Proactively improve processes, take initiative, and solve problems effectively.
* Data Confidentiality: Handle customer and product data with strict confidentiality in accordance with security and privacy policies.
* Other Duties: Additional tasks may be assigned from time to time, based on role requirements and your potential to take on new responsibilities.
**Requirements:**
* Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* Basic understanding of software development using languages such as C#, .NET, Java, Python, or equivalent.
* Familiarity with web technologies, APIs, and webhooks.
* Understanding of database systems (SQL, MySQL, or similar).
* Knowledge of testing, debugging, and performance optimization principles.
* Ability to diagnose and resolve software or system-related issues.
* Familiarity with IT support processes and application maintenance is an advantage.
* Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; able to work closely with developers and cross-functional teams.
* Good written and verbal communication in English.
* Proactive, responsible, and eager to learn.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
* Detail-oriented with good documentation practices.
* Committed to maintaining data confidentiality and system security.
* Experience with ticketing systems or version control tools (e.g., Git) \& exposure to cloud platforms or monitoring tools would be an advantage.
