More information on Proforest is available at www.proforest.net **Description** The position is an exciting opportunity to take a technical internship with Proforest, based at our Jakarta office. All applicants are expected to have the necessary rights/permit to intern/work in Indonesia. The intern will be assigned supervisor(s) to select several topics as part of his/her focus throughout the duration of the internship period. Such topics may include, but not limited to, the following: * Support GIS work and analysis of forest and land use change and its impacts on human rights * Support on Proforest’s own landscape initiatives * Provide translation and proofreading of Proforest reports, guidance, and publications * Provide administrative and technical support to on-going Proforest projects and programmes * Opportunities for fieldwork and conduct GIS training for Proforest staff **Learning Opportunities** * General understanding of the production and supply chain of palm oil and other land use commodities such as timber and pulp and paper. * Interactions with actors and stakeholders in consultancy settings. * Insight and hands-on experience of Proforest’s approaches, work systems, and project management processes. **Minimum Qualification and Experience** Education: Final year student or new graduates of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Field of Study: Biodiversity Conservation, Environmental Science/Management, Forestry, Agriculture, Agronomy, Agribusiness, Social Sciences, and related courses.
