Software Testing Intern

**Job Title:** Software Testing Intern (Manual \& Automation) **Location:** Chennai **Department:** IT / QA **Job Summary:** We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Software Testing Intern to support our QA team in ensuring the quality and reliability of applications. The intern will gain hands-on experience in manual testing, basic automation, API testing, and data validation while working on real-time projects. **Key Responsibilities:** **Manual \& Logic Testing:** * Perform in-depth testing of complex workflows and multi-step processes. * Identify edge cases and ensure application stability across scenarios. **Code Understanding:** * Understand basic backend logic and assist in reviewing code behavior. * Collaborate with developers to clarify functional requirements. **Automation Exposure:** * Assist in preparing automation-ready test cases. * Gain exposure to automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright. **Data Validation:** * Validate data accuracy between UI and database using SQL queries. * Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems. **API Testing:** * Test APIs using tools like Postman to verify responses and endpoints. * Validate request/response structures and error handling. **Bug Tracking \& Reporting:** * Document clear, detailed, and reproducible bug reports. * Track and manage defects using tools like Jira. **Quality \& Accuracy:** * Maintain high attention to detail, especially in technical or data-sensitive areas. * Ensure accuracy in testing outputs and documentation. **Required Skills \& Qualifications:** * Pursuing or completed Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. * Basic understanding of software testing concepts. * Knowledge of SQL for data validation. * Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman). * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Good written and verbal communication skills. **Preferred Skills:** * Exposure to automation tools like Selenium or Playwright. * Basic programming knowledge (Java, Python, etc.). * Understanding of bug tracking tools like Jira. **Internship Duration:** 3 Months **Stipend:** As per company norms **Learning Outcomes:** * Hands-on experience in real-time software testing projects * Exposure to automation and API testing * Understanding of QA processes and tools * Industry-level experience in defect tracking and reporting **Contact :** 87544 46692 Job Type: Internship Contract length: 3 months Pay: ₹5,000\.00 - ₹10,000\.00 per month Work Location: In person
