Role Description
The Archdiocese of Chicago, the third largest in the United States, serves more than 2\.2 million Catholics in 216 parishes in Cook County and Lake County, a geographic area of 1,411 square miles. We are looking for a motivated and curious Data Engineering Intern to join our growing data team. This is a hands-on role where you will contribute to real projects that support our mission-driven organization — helping us turn raw data into reliable, actionable insights. You will work closely with experienced data engineers and analysts, gaining exposure to the full data lifecycle: from ingestion and transformation to modeling and visualization.
**This is a summer internship (June through August) and will be no more than 29 hours per week.**
**Data Engineering**
* Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines that extract, load, and transform data from various source systems.
* Support the team in writing clean, well-documented Python and SQL code.
* Help monitor pipeline performance and flag data quality issues as they arise.

This position has a salary of $20\.69 per hour. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on many factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
