Manufacturing Engineering Intern
Role Description
**Job Summary:**
The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will support the engineering and maintenance teams in improving manufacturing processes, updating technical documentation, and assisting with automation and equipment-related projects. This role provides hands-on experience in a production environment while developing practical engineering and problem-solving skills.
**Key Responsibilities:**
· Assist in developing and updating work instructions, equipment setup procedures, and process improvement documentation.
· Work with manufacturing engineers to create and revise equipment drawings for automation and continuous improvement projects.
· Update plant layout drawings to support capital improvement initiatives.
· Revise tool and die drawings and assist in creating setup sheets; document production setup data and upload into the ERP system.
· Support hands-on equipment updates under supervision, including basic work related to controls, safety improvements, and repairs.
· Conduct time studies on shop floor operations; collect and analyze data to help identify process improvements.
· Assist with debugging and troubleshooting automation equipment.
· Provide general support to manufacturing engineering and maintenance teams, including additional tasks as assigned.
**Qualifications:**
· Currently pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
· Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles.
· Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) preferred.
· Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a hands-on environment.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
· Ability to work in both office and shop floor settings.
