Cloud / Systems Engineer Intern

We are looking for a motivated Cloud / Systems Engineer Intern to support the infrastructure team in managing, operating, and optimizing our hybrid cloud environments, primarily focusing on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Linux systems. This role is a mentorship opportunity to gain practical experience in modern DevOps practices. **Key Responsibilities** * **Cloud, Containers \& Virtualization:** Assist in the deployment and basic management of GCP resources like Compute Engine (VMs) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) under supervision. * **Linux Systems \& Network Administration:** Perform basic Linux administration tasks (user management, log analysis) and assist with network administration support (VPC, firewall configuration). * **Support \& Monitoring:** Help configure and monitor basic metrics using Google Cloud Operations or similar tools. * **Documentation:** Assist in updating and maintaining technical documentation and runbooks. * **Application Support:** Collaborate with developers on minor tasks related to application deployment and CI/CD pipelines. **Qualifications** * Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a technical field related to Systems/Network Administration. * Basic theoretical or hands-on knowledge of cloud computing concepts (GCP preferred). * Familiarity with Linux command-line interface and basic administration. * Basic understanding of containerization concepts (Docker) and networking (TCP/IP). * Strong aptitude for learning complex technical systems and a proactive attitude toward troubleshooting.
