**Internship – Mechanical Engineering** **Haumiller Engineering is searching to fill student internships for spring 2026\.** **What you will Experience:** Haumiller Engineering designs and manufactures high-speed automation assembly and test equipment for the life science, personal care and food and beverage industries. Our internships offer opportunities to individuals interested in **Mechanical Engineering.** The Haumiller internship is for current college students offering the opportunity to collaborate with and work alongside our engineers and staff to further develop their skills and knowledge in engineering. **What You Will Do:** As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will * Assist with machine designs based on initial concepts and customer specifications * Assist with design and concept changes once the machine has reached the Design stage * Produce 3D solid models using SolidWorks. Use these models to produce detail drawings, assembly drawings, bills of materials, and owner’s manuals and checklists * Perform tolerance analysis on assemblies (GD\&T experience a plus) * SolidWorks training and experience is a plus **What You Will Bring:** * Recent graduate or current student in the process of obtaining an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical or controls engineering * Valid Illinois driver license and must maintain a safe driving record * Proficiency with current computer technology and job specific software **Selection Process:** Candidate screening process may consist of an application review, mechanical aptitude assessment, interviews, reference checks, and other job-related testing. Chosen candidates may be subject to background and criminal verification and pre-employment medical examinations and drug screen.
