Bachelor Internship: Automate generating diagrams and other data to improve functional safety analys

Role Description

IT student skilled in programming languages like Python and affinity with probability calculations and automotive embedded engineering As an intern, you will be responsible for the automation of selected functional safety analysis tasks. Your main responsibilities include:* Interpret and translate data from our database * Analyze design diagram formats * Generate an initial analysis diagram from a design diagram * Quantify the effort needed to create a manual analysis diagram compared to an automated diagram. * A view behind the scenes at a large international corporation; * You will get a lot of freedom and responsibility. We are open to your initiatives and depending on the assignment you see your results back in the workplace; * An experienced coach and supervisor who can teach you a lot and is willing to help you with your assignment; * After your graduation, you will have the opportunity to start your career at DAF; * An internship wage of € 375,- gross (Bachelor) per month on full-time base * A travel allowance, if you don’t have a student travel product (provided by the Dutch government); * A housing allowance, if you temporarily rent a room near DAF. PACCAR Electronics, develops software for embedded controllers in PACCAR vehicles, like DAF or Kenworth trucks. Located in Eindhoven, the Embedded Engineering (EE) architecture group has a team that defines the EE topology and assigns (sub-) functions over systems, considering many different aspects, including functional safety. Another team is responsible for the control system architectures. There are approximately 35 people in the group. Starting date: August/September 2026\. We are looking for an enthusiastic Bachelor or Master student who is pursuing a degree in embedded engineering, software engineering or automotive engineering. The number of internship days is negotiable.* Experience in writing a script/program/app in a programming language such as Python or Java. * Language skills: communication skills in Dutch or English * Competences: programming, strong analytical skills You will gain knowledge through the assignment itself. Depending on the length of the internship, you will better understand the operations of a larger automotive organization and may have the opportunity to explore functional safety in trucks.
