**About the Opportunity**
NexCell Solutions is offering a 6-month Frontend Engineering internship for students who want hands-on experience building a production-grade AI-powered SaaS platform used by live clients.
This role is centred entirely on frontend engineering — from designing and implementing responsive user interfaces to building real-time dashboards and visualising AI-driven data. You will help shape and build core product features from concept through to working production code, not demo projects or coursework simulations.
The internship is designed for students with a strong foundation in Next.js who want to deepen their frontend engineering skills, gaining practical exposure to how modern AI products are built, surfaced, and delivered through well-designed interfaces.
**What You Will Do**
* Build responsive, high-performance UI components and pages using Next.js 14 and TypeScript
* Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, production-ready interfaces
* Develop dashboards for monitoring AI-driven conversations and system activity
* Design UI components that visualise AI outputs, analytics, and system insights
* Implement real-time UI updates using WebSockets for live AI data streams
* Use TailwindCSS and shadcn/ui to maintain a consistent, polished design system
* Collaborate with designers and backend engineers on API contracts and feature UX
* Participate in early implementation discussions and testing
* Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented component code
* Push production-quality code to GitHub as part of a real AI SaaS product

**Preferred Background**
Currently studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical discipline. For this role, solid Next.js fundamentals are essential: candidates should have hands-on experience with Next.js 14 and TypeScript, including a solid understanding of the App Router, server vs client components, and modern JavaScript (ES6\+). Additional exposure to any of the following is a plus: TailwindCSS, consuming REST APIs, Git and GitHub workflows, WebSockets, charting libraries such as Recharts or D3\.js, or a basic understanding of AI-backed systems such as LLMs or analytics dashboards.
