Summer Internship - Data Science - Rotterdam - 4 days per week At everox, we are working on scaling technology that turns waste concrete into circular building materials — reducing CO₂ emissions in one of the world’s most polluting industries. **About everox** everox is a Dutch climate-tech company focused on upcycling waste concrete into low-carbon building materials. Cement production accounts for \~8% of global CO₂ emissions, and we are developing and scaling technology to reduce that impact at an industrial level. Our R\&D team works at the intersection of materials science, process engineering, and data - translating experimental results into scalable solutions. **The assignment** During this internship, you will support the development of data processing and automation workflows used in our R\&D labs. You will work on structuring, processing, and interpreting experimental and process data, helping to improve efficiency and reproducibility within ongoing research and development activities. This is a hands-on role where software directly supports material and process development. **What you will do** * Develop and refine data processing scripts (Python preferred) * Structure and clean experimental and process datasets * Interpret data using basic materials science / chemistry principles * Validate outputs against expected material behaviour * Document code and workflows to ensure reproducibility **What you will deliver** * Working scripts integrated into team workflows * Clear and structured technical documentation * A short final presentation of your work and findings **What you will learn** * How to build practical scripting tools in an industrial R\&D environment * How software integrates with chemical and materials processes * How to structure and document technical work professionally * How a deep-tech scale-up operates across engineering and R\&D **Who we’re looking for** * Bachelor or Master student in: Data Science / Computer Science, Chemical Engineering / Materials Science, or a related field * Experience with programming or scripting (Python preferred) * Basic understanding of chemistry or materials science * Analytical, structured, and hands-on mindset * Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus) **Nice to have** * Experience with data processing libraries (pandas, NumPy) * Familiarity with version control (e.g. Git) * Interest in sustainability or circular economy **What we offer** * 3-month summer internship (4 days per week) * Hands-on experience in a climate-tech startup * Mentorship from engineers and scientists * Direct impact on R\&D workflows * Travel reimbursement if necessary * Opportunity to grow into a longer internship or future role * Market based internship allowance (€500-€600 p/month) **Interested?** Send your CV and a short motivation to **recruitment@everox.tech** with the subject line: Summer Internship - Data Science Please include: * Study program and year * Preferred internship period Job Type: Internship Contract length: 3 months Pay: €500,00 - €600,00 per month Work authorization: * Netherlands (Required) Work Location: Hybrid remote in 3029 Rotterdam
