**Communication:** Communication is the ability to convey information to others in a clear and understandable way. Effective communication can help you collaborate with others and share ideas. It can also help you ask questions and seek feedback from your supervisors.
**Organization:** Keeping your workspace and computer files organized is an important skill for an architectural intern. You may be responsible for organizing files, maintaining a calendar of important dates and events and keeping track of your projects. Keeping your workspace organized can help you find important documents and files when you need them.
**Time management:** Time management refers to the ability to complete tasks within a set deadline. As an architectural intern, you may have multiple tasks that require different levels of attention. For example, you may have a large project that requires you to research and develop a design proposal while also having smaller tasks that require you to complete research on other topics. Having strong time management skills can help you prioritize your work and ensure you complete all of your tasks on time.
**Computer-aided design (CAD) software:** Architectural interns often learn CAD software as they work with their supervisors. CAD software is a valuable skill for an architectural intern to have because it allows them to create and edit architectural plans.
