### **Position Overview**
We are seeking a motivated **Engineering Intern/Co-op** to support the design, development, and testing of mechanical, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical systems. This role focuses on **power transmission systems**, particularly **IVT drivetrain technologies** for heavy-duty vehicles.
Working under direct supervision, you will contribute to product development, prototype testing, and system integration while gaining hands-on industry experience.
### **Key Responsibilities**
**Engineering \& Design Support**
* Perform engineering calculations and support design activities
* Create 3D models and components using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
* Develop and review detailed engineering drawings
* Support programming tasks (C\+\+ and embedded C for electrical/control applications)
**Systems Integration**
* Assist in integrating mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems into cohesive designs
* Support system-level testing and validation activities
**Prototype Assembly \& Testing**
* Participate in prototype builds and test execution
* Document and report test results based on established test plans
**Product Support**
* Assist with troubleshooting product issues in-house and in the field
* Support root cause analysis and corrective actions
**Administrative \& Collaboration**
* Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
* Follow engineering standards, processes, and corporate requirements
* Utilize ERP and PLM systems for documentation and workflow
* Support LEAN manufacturing initiatives
**Other**

### **Qualifications \& Skills**
**Technical Skills**
* Basic knowledge of mechanical design and strong mechanical aptitude
* Familiarity with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred)
* Understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and control systems
* Exposure to C\+\+, embedded C, and MATLAB/Simulink is an asset
* Technical writing and documentation skills

### **Education \& Requirements**
* Currently pursuing a **Bachelor’s degree in Engineering** or a **Diploma in Engineering Technology**
* Minimum **8-month commitment** required
