Business Analyst

**Job Summary** We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in analysing business processes, identifying opportunities for optimisation, and delivering data-driven solutions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilise advanced analytical tools, and contribute to strategic decision-making within a dynamic organisation. **Duties** * Gather, document, and analyse business requirements to support project objectives. * Develop comprehensive reports and visualisations using tools such as Tableau and Power BI to communicate insights effectively. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement database solutions, including database design and optimisation using Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and SQL queries. * Support the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering through testing and deployment. * Utilise programming languages such as R, Python, VBA, and Bash (Unix shell) for data analysis, automation, and scripting tasks. * Create detailed process diagrams and workflows using Visio to facilitate understanding of complex systems. * Manage projects efficiently by applying project management principles, ensuring timely delivery of deliverables. * Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that inform business strategies. * Assist in the development of dashboards and reports that support operational decision-making. **Skills** * Proficiency in data analysis tools including Tableau, Power BI, R, Python, and SQL. * Strong understanding of Business Analysis methodologies and experience with SDLC processes. * Knowledge of database design principles and experience working with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases. * Ability to develop automation scripts using VBA and Bash (Unix shell). * Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets into actionable insights. * Experience with project management practices to coordinate multiple initiatives effectively. * Competence in creating visual documentation using Visio. * Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
