Web Developer Intern

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated **Web Developer Intern** to join our IT team for a hands-on internship experience. In this role, you will contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of company websites and web applications, working on both front-end and back-end tasks. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in web development, website maintenance, and back-end technologies. Familiarity with **Laravel, WordPress, or other web development frameworks and content management systems** would be considered an asset. Job Responsibilities * Assist in developing, maintaining, and improving company websites and web applications * Support back-end development and contribute to server-side logic, integrations, and application functionality * Help maintain, update, and customize websites built with **WordPress** * Assist with web application development and troubleshooting using frameworks such as **Laravel** * Work with databases and APIs to ensure efficient data handling and system integration * Collaborate with the IT team to implement technical solutions based on business needs * Troubleshoot and debug technical issues to improve performance and user experience * Participate in testing, deployment, and documentation of web solutions * Continuously learn and apply new tools, frameworks, and technologies Required Skills * Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree, diploma, or certificate program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, Information Technology, or a related field * Basic knowledge of web development concepts, including front-end and/or back-end development * Understanding of **HTML, CSS, and JavaScript** fundamentals * Familiarity with at least one programming language, such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or similar * Interest in back-end development, website maintenance, and web technologies * Basic understanding of databases and APIs is an asset * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment * Willingness and ability to learn new technologies quickly Preferred Skills / Assets * Familiarity with **Laravel** or similar web application frameworks * Experience with **WordPress**, including themes, plugins, or website content management * Understanding of responsive web design and website performance optimization * Experience using Git or other version control tools * Exposure to website hosting, deployment, or debugging tools Compensation and BenefitsCompensation * $18\.00 per hour * Full-time Benefits \& Perks * Hands-on experience working on real-world web development projects * Exposure to website development, web applications, WordPress, Laravel, databases, and APIs * Mentorship and guidance from experienced IT professionals * Opportunity to develop practical technical and problem-solving skills * Collaborative and supportive team environment * Valuable industry experience to support future career growth Pay: Up to $18\.00 per hour Work Location: In person
