You will design, build, and support microservices that power customer communications such as notifications and e-signatures. This role offers strong exposure to AWS and modern engineering practices, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement. **What You'll Do** * Design and develop microservice components that support customer communications across multiple channels, ensuring reliability and scalability. * Collaborate with engineers and business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions that meet regulatory and customer needs. * Maintain and enhance existing applications by troubleshooting issues and delivering timely fixes that minimise disruption. * Contribute to testing practices, including unit and integration testing, to ensure quality and maintainable code. * Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimise systems, processes, and team ways of working. * Provide technical input into solution design, estimation, and implementation planning to support successful delivery outcomes. **What You'll Bring** * Experience in software development using languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js, applied to building scalable applications. * Familiarity with cloud platforms, ideally AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, or EC2, with a willingness to deepen expertise. * Exposure to DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Maven, or Git for efficient delivery. * Understanding of test-driven development and frameworks such as JUnit to support quality engineering outcomes. * Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver practical solutions to business challenges. * Experience working in Agile environments, applying iterative development and continuous feedback to improve outcomes. **What You'll Enjoy** Access our award-winning Shine platform – your central hub for exclusive perks, wellbeing support, career development, and recognition.
