Junior Configuration Developer

As our global footprint expands we’re looking for a Junior Software Configuration Developer to join our high-performing Application Support Team in Auckland. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your contributions will directly support the success of national and international registries. **About The Role** As a Junior Software Configuration Developer, you will work as part of a dedicated support team to deliver quality production support, configuration and enhancements to our global registry clients. You’ll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders – including clients, business analysts, developers, testers and project managers – to configure, develop and maintain registry applications based on detailed functional and technical specifications. Key Responsibilities * Development * Customize software components based on client requirements * Follow design and specification documents to ensure consistency and quality * Testing * Conduct unit and integration testing of configured components * Support QA teams during system and user acceptance testing phases * Support \& Continuous Improvement * Provide ongoing production support for live systems * Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to enhancing application performance and reliability What We’re Looking For Education \& Experience * A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field * Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT environment * At least 1 year of hands-on experience in one or more programming languages (e.g. Java, Groovy, C#, PHP), with Java preferred Technical Skills * Good understanding of system design, programming concepts, and database fundamentals * Keen interest in web technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, JSON, CSS) * Understanding of common web service technologies (REST or SOAP) * Familiar with software development lifecycle (SDLC); experience with Agile (Scrum or Kanban) is a plus * Practical experience with SDLC tools (e.g. Jira, Jenkins) * Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases; experience with NoSQL databases is advantageous * Familiar with source control tools and workflows (e.g. Git, SVN) * Knowledge of ITIL and DevOps practices is advantageous * Exposure to AI tools is advantageous Soft Skills * Good communication and interpersonal skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities * A proactive, detail-oriented mindset Why Join Us?
