The ideal intern candidate is someone who is a voracious learner, has a history of building applications from the ground up, and can break down complex challenges. You'll be working on a fast-paced team of passionate builders and partnering closely with our ML and design teams, to create industry-defining software that has attracted over 2M users globally. Past intern projects have been the focus of demos to VCs and state-level policy leaders. **Responsibilities** * Build and deploy high-impact, intuitive, AI-driven web apps in React, Node, and Tailwind * Develop top-requested features from our users on our dashboard, chrome extensions, and API * Utilize product analytics to make data-driven product decisions * Collaborate with our ML, design, and business teams to develop new product initiatives * Wear multiple hats and work across the product stack **Qualifications** * Comfortable building end-to-end experiences from backend to CSS * \+2 years of experience with modern web frameworks (Express, Next.js, Typescript, and React) * \+1 years of experience with databases (PostgreSQL, AWS RDS) * Highly motivated to make positive societal impact * Work with 5 hours of overlap with Eastern Standard Time * Bonus: + strong open-source portfolio + experience working in an early-stage startup environment + experience as a peer-edited writer **Who you'll be joining** **Our Team** You will be working directly with * Alex (our CTO) R\&D at Uber self-driving division and Facebook, 3 patents in ML * Edmond (our fullstack lead) Obama Foundation Scholar at Columbia University and Editor-in-chief of The Andela Way * Olivia (our head of design) on translating your research into outputs for millions of users. * Edward (our CEO, ex-Bellingcat, Microsoft, BBC investigative journalism) to craft the messages we send to our community, and shape the GPTZero brand.
