We work at the intersection of technology, commerce, and humanitarian need, building the infrastructure that gets life-enhancing products into the hands of people who need them most.
Technology is central to how we operate and scale. This role is a hands-on, operations-first internship focused on administration, data entry, and software fluency, with meaningful exposure to IT fundamentals like access management, security hygiene, and identity and access management (IAM).
You will work across our core tools (for example: ClickUp, Google Workspace, Salesforce, Airtable, WordPress, and other internal platforms) helping maintain clean data, correct permissions, and dependable internal processes. You will also help coordinate basic technical needs across departments, making sure requests are captured clearly and routed to the right owner.
You’ll report to the Director of Technology Operations and collaborate with TechOps team members and stakeholders across the organization. What You’ll Own**Data Entry and Systems Administration**
* Maintain accurate records across BC’s core platforms (for example: user lists, tool inventories, documentation logs, request trackers).
* Perform structured data entry and clean-up work (deduping, standardizing fields, fixing formatting, validating values).
* Support ongoing platform upkeep tasks such as tag/field hygiene, list maintenance, template updates, and basic configuration consistency (with supervision).
* Create and update clear internal documentation for repeatable processes (how-to steps, checklists, SOPs, system notes).
**Security, Access, and IAM Support (with supervision)**
* Assist with onboarding and offboarding tasks, including creating, updating, and removing user access across tools based on established procedures.
* Support permission management and role-based access control efforts by validating who should have access to what, then executing changes with approval.
* Help run routine access audits (reviewing user lists, identifying inactive accounts, flagging anomalies).
* Support security hygiene initiatives (for example: MFA adoption tracking, password manager usage support, basic phishing-awareness reminders as part of internal ops).
**General Tech Coordination (Cross-Department Support)**
* Serve as a first stop for capturing and clarifying internal tech requests (what’s needed, by when, impacted team, screenshots/context).
* Route requests to the correct TechOps owner and follow through to ensure they don’t get dropped.
* Assist other departments with “how do I” platform questions by pointing to documentation or walking through basic steps when appropriate.
* Help prepare internal rollouts (new tools, process changes) by updating docs, creating quick reference guides, and tracking adoption tasks.
What Success Looks Like (First 60 to 90 Days)
* You can confidently navigate BC’s core tools and complete assigned admin workflows with minimal back-and-forth.
* Data and records you touch are clean, consistent, and easy for others to trust.
* Access requests are executed accurately, documented properly, and aligned with established permission guidelines.
* Tech requests from other departments are captured clearly and routed quickly, with visible follow-through.
What You Bring
* Strong attention to detail and comfort doing careful, repetitive work with high accuracy.
* High software fluency: you pick up new tools quickly and can follow written procedures precisely.
* Basic IT knowledge (or strong interest in learning), especially around concepts like users, permissions, groups, MFA, and secure access.
* Clear written communication; you can document steps and ask clarifying questions when requirements are unclear.
* Organizational instincts: you like systems, checklists, and keeping things tidy and consistent.
Nice to Have
* Exposure to any of: Google Workspace admin concepts, Salesforce, Airtable, WordPress, or ticketing/request workflows.
* Familiarity with IAM concepts (least privilege, role-based access, access reviews).
* Experience working with spreadsheets and structured data (filters, validation, formatting standards).
Logistics
* Internship, part-time (hours and schedule to be aligned based on team needs and availability).
* Location: Remote or hybrid depending on department needs (if applicable).
* You’ll receive training, clear SOPs, and supervised access for systems work.
