Flight Software Intern (Full-Time) – Tokyo

ispace is looking for a motivated Flight Software Intern to join our Flight Software Design Group in Tokyo. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on real-world aerospace software systems in a collaborative engineering environment. ### **Eligibility \& Additional Information** * This position is suitable for undergraduate or graduate students who are required to complete an internship as part of their degree program * Candidates currently residing in Japan with a valid working visa will be prioritized * International students holding a valid Japanese student visa are also encouraged to apply * Hourly rate: JPY 1,500 per hour * This is an on-site role and cannot be performed remote ### **Responsibility** * Contribute to the development of flight software as part of the Flight Software Team * Design, implement, and maintain embedded C code for flight software applications * Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and reliability ### **Must have** * Experience developing software in embedded C * Familiarity with real-time operating systems (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr RTOS) * Experience working with communication interfaces (UART, I2C, SPI) * Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP) * Experience with build systems (Makefile, CMake) * Experience developing on ARM-based SoCs We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
