**Backend Engineering Intern (AI)** * Location: Bangalore (In-Person) * Duration: 2 Months (with potential Full-Time Conversion \+ ESOPs) * Stipend: ₹25,000/ month This role requires an in-person presence at our Bangalore office. **ABOUT MANSIO** Mansio is building India’s most reliable home-buying platform. We are building an AI-native platform that helps buyers navigate this journey with clarity and confidence. By combining strong product thinking, AI infrastructure, and on-ground market intelligence, Mansio partners with developers to deliver what the market lacks today: decision confidence and end-to-end buying experience. Founders are IIT Kharagpur and Ivy League alumni. **THE ROLE** * We are looking for an AI-First Backend Engineering Intern with a strong focus on backend systems, AI orchestration, and intelligent workflows. * Your primary responsibility will be building the “brains” of our applications using Python and modern AI frameworks. You will work on designing agentic systems, managing RAG pipelines, orchestrating AI workflows, and building scalable backend infrastructure. * While this is primarily a Backend \+ AI role, basic familiarity with frontend technologies (Next.js/React) is expected to support integrations and minor UI updates when needed. **WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON** * Architect and implement multi-agent AI systems for autonomous workflows * Build and optimize RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines * Design context engineering and prompt orchestration systems for LLMs * Develop scalable backend APIs using Python (FastAPI/Flask) * Work with embeddings and vector databases for memory and retrieval * Assist with lightweight frontend integrations in Next.js/React when required **REQUIRED SKILLS** **AI \& Data (Primary Focus)** * Experience with agentic workflows, multi-agent orchestration, and task decomposition * Strong understanding of RAG pipelines, vector databases (Pinecone, Chroma, etc.), embeddings, and memory systems * Proficiency in prompt engineering and context management for LLMs * Strong familiarity with AI development tools like Cursor and Claude Code **Backend Engineering** * Strong command of Python, async programming, and backend architecture * Experience building and consuming REST APIs (FastAPI preferred) * Understanding of JSON structures, data parsing, and database schemas **Frontend (Good to Have)** * Basic familiarity with Next.js/React for integrations and minor UI updates * Working knowledge of Tailwind CSS **WHY JOIN US** * Build at the Frontier of AI: Gain hands-on exposure to AI agents, multi-agent systems, RAG architectures, and modern AI-native software development. * High Ownership \& Impact: Work closely with the founding team and contribute directly to core product and engineering decisions. * Mentorship: Learn directly from experienced builders and senior developers in a fast-moving startup environment. * PPO Opportunity: High potential for full-time conversion based on performance.
