H2scan was founded in 2002, and is headquartered in Valencia, California. H2scan helps our customers
meet safety, regulatory and process control requirements in mission critical industries such as energy,
utility, petrochemical, fuels cell and gas lines. We do that by providing the most accurate, tolerant and
affordable continuous hydrogen sensors for monitoring industrial processes that generate or use H2,
including transformer condition monitoring. H2scan holds 33\+ patents, and our products are sold in over
50 countries.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (QA) Intern to support our
software testing and product validation efforts. This internship provides hands-on experience working
with engineers and cross-functional teams to help ensure software reliability, functionality, and overall
product quality.
The ideal candidate is interested in technology, software testing, troubleshooting, and continuous
improvement. This role is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates who want to gain
practical experience in software quality assurance, embedded systems, and product development within a
collaborative engineering environment.
**Job Functions**
* Follow written test procedures and execute basic software and firmware tests
* Record and document bugs, issues, and unexpected behavior
* Assist with functional and regression testing activities
* Help set up and maintain test devices and environments
* Support engineers with validation of software and firmware updates
* Track test results and maintain organized documentation
* Participate in troubleshooting and issue investigation efforts
* Learn and follow QA processes and best practices
* Assist with general engineering and product testing tasks as needed
**Qualification Required**
* Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or coursework in Computer Science,
Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to follow instructions and document observations clearly
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Comfortable using computers and learning new software tools
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
**Desired Experience**
* Interest in software testing, electronics, or embedded systems
* Familiarity with basic troubleshooting or debugging concepts
* Exposure to technical tools, scripting, or version control is a plus
* Experience from school projects, labs, or personal projects is helpful but not required
