IT Support Intern – with allowance

**Job Summary** The IT Intern assists the IT department in maintaining computer hardware, network connectivity, and software systems. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, supporting users, and helping ensure smooth daily IT operations. **Roles and Duties** **Hardware Support** * Install, set up, and configure desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment. * Troubleshoot hardware issues such as faulty peripherals, slow computers, and connectivity problems. * Assist in replacing or upgrading hardware components (RAM, SSD, HDD, monitors, etc.). * Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of computer units and devices. * Maintain inventory records of IT equipment and accessories. * Help in assembling and deploying new workstations. **Network Support** * Assist in monitoring and maintaining LAN/WAN network connections. * Help configure routers, switches, access points, and network cables. * Troubleshoot internet and network connectivity issues. * Support Wi-Fi setup and basic network security implementation. * Assist in checking IP configurations, DHCP, DNS, and shared network resources. * Help monitor network devices and report outages or abnormalities. **Software Support** * Install and update operating systems, drivers, and software applications. * Provide basic technical support to users regarding software concerns. * Assist in troubleshooting software errors and system issues. * Help maintain antivirus and system security updates. * Support user account creation, password resets, and access permissions. * Assist in data backup and file recovery procedures. **General IT Duties** * Document technical issues and resolutions. * Coordinate with vendors or service providers when needed. * Follow company IT policies and security procedures. * Provide basic orientation to users on proper system usage. * Perform other IT-related tasks assigned by supervisors. **Skills Preferred** * Basic knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting * Familiarity with networking concepts (IP Addressing, DHCP, DNS, Wi-Fi) * Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office * Good communication and problem-solving skills * Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies Work Location: In person
