**Wellness App Developer** **20 Second Relief is hiring a part-time student developer** Build the foundation of a wellness app being launched by a 30-year LA-based bodywork practice. Real product. Hourly pay - flexible to your schedule. **About the project** 20 Second Relief is a new web app that delivers AI-personalized self-care protocols to people with chronic discomfort. The founder has worked with tens of thousands of clients over 30 years and is now packaging his method into a subscription product. We have a complete product requirements document, the video content is in production, and the branding is done. We need a developer to build the web app. **What you'll be building** A Progressive Web App (PWA) built with Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. The app must be architected so it can later be converted into native iOS and Android apps without rebuilding the core logic. You'll build the user-facing experience, the intake flow, the session player with video, the progress tracking dashboard, and the subscription billing integration. **What you should know** **Required:** * React (Next.js a plus, but solid React experience is enough) * TypeScript (or willingness to learn quickly if you know JavaScript) * HTML and CSS (Tailwind CSS specifically is a strong plus) * Git and GitHub for version control * Basic understanding of REST APIs and how frontends talk to backends * Comfortable reading a product spec and asking clarifying questions **Nice to have:** * Experience with Next.js App Router specifically * Experience with Supabase, Firebase, or any backend-as-a-service * Experience with Stripe for subscription billing * Familiarity with PostgreSQL or any SQL database * Experience deploying to Vercel, Netlify, or similar * Experience with shadcn/ui or similar component libraries * Any prior work on a startup or solo project you can show me * Familiarity with React Native or Expo (for the future iOS/Android conversion path) * Any experience with HIPAA-adjacent or wellness apps * Experience with video streaming integration (Mux, Cloudflare Stream, etc.) * AI tools fluency — you already use Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar in your workflow **Time commitment and pay** We're flexible on structure based on what works for you and your school schedule. * Hourly contract: $25 to $35 per hour depending on experience, 10 to 20 hours per week * Strong potential for full-time work in the future as the project grows beyond MVP * Equity participation available for the right candidate willing to take on a longer-term role Pay: From $20\.00 per hour Work Location: In person
