Role Description

for the energy industry, we develop, sell, and operate Adaptricity, a cloud-based platform for the analysis of power distribution grids. Our solution allows distribution network operators to better understand, manage and plan their grid infrastructure using data-driven network analysis.

**Role Overview**
**As a Project Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for:**
* **Maintaining productive data pipelines**
. Troubleshoot and fix issues in productive data pipelines, support customers on data-related problems like missing data, wrong data formats etc. Implement data quality checks and monitoring mechanisms to ensure the reliability of ETL processes.
* **Support projects.**
Support development of ETL pipelines for European projects. Implement data-conversion pipelines for models of power grids and measurement time-series. Run simulations and validate results against real-world expectations to validate the implementation.
* **Documentation.**
Document ETL pipelines, data lineage, and technical specifications for reference and collaboration.
* **Customer support**
: Respond to customer inquiries covering electrical engineering concepts, data flows, and practical use of the Adaptricity platform — via email, Microsoft Teams, or our ticketing system. Work closely with the Project Engineering team to escalate and resolve more complex technical issues.
**The ideal candidate should:**
* Be a recent graduate or entry-level professional with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Data Engineering or Computer Science or a related field.
* Have experience with PostgreSQL.
* Ideally have some experience in developing ETL pipelines for geospatial data, including experience with tools such as Pentaho Data Integration or equivalent.
* Have experience in any of the following is a strong plus: R, JavaScript, Git.
* Have organizational, communication and problem solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
* Be fluent in English and German.
