At Accelleron, we foster diversity and inclusion, welcoming and celebrating individual differences as a source of strength.** In this internship, you will contribute to Research and Development projects to further improve and maintain our competitiveness. Reporting to the head of Fluid Mechanics, you will support the team in order to improve fluid mechanic simulation tools and processes. In this exciting project, you will significantly contribute by automation of processes, validating simulation data with measurement results and implementation of new simulation tools. You will be part of the Technology (R\&D) organization and gain valuable insights into the design and verification of turbocharging solutions for engines above 500kW. **Your responsibilities:** * Collaborate with R\&D team members and validate existing simulations process or develop new modules within the process * Perform and evaluate CFD or CHT simulation for turbocharging systems, compressors, turbines, bearings or cooling channels * Setup and run automatic optimization projects using genetic algorithms * Support the team in multiple tasks, involving parameter studies, comparison of software tools, simulation process automation and standardization * Add value by bringing in your own ideas * Document results **Your background:** * Ongoing studies in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer-Aided Engineering, or a related discipline * Understanding of fluid mechanics and turbomachinery * Strong interest in CAE tools (CFD, FEA and CAD) * Preferably experience with ANSYS CFX or Fluent * Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills * Experience in Python or Matlab programming * Solution-oriented, autonomous, and proactive working style * A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and a strong desire to learn and improve * Team player, ability to communicate with a lot of people with different backgrounds and skill sets * Fluency in English or German **We look forward to receiving your application.
