Duties * Assist in designing and deploying scalable cloud infrastructure utilizing platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure, and Rackspace. * Support the development and maintenance of cloud-based applications using technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or similar tools. * Contribute to system hardening, security practices, and system management for Linux and Windows environments to ensure robust cloud security. * Help automate deployment processes through scripting languages including Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Python, Ruby, and Shell Scripting. * Collaborate on integrating web services and APIs using RESTful API standards for SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and microservices architectures. * Participate in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to virtualization platforms such as VMware, OpenStack, Citrix, and Rackspace. * Support the implementation of cloud architecture best practices for IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), system monitoring, and system hardening efforts. Qualifications * Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with a strong interest in cloud computing and IT infrastructure. * Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, OpenStack, or Citrix is highly desirable. * Basic understanding of cloud platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure or Rackspace is preferred. * Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration systems such as Kubernetes is a plus. * Experience with scripting languages including Python, Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell or Ruby will be advantageous. * Understanding of web services protocols like RESTful APIs and concepts related to SaaS/PaaS models. * Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment. * Excellent communication skills with an eagerness to learn new technologies rapidly.
