Role Description

**Intern Architect - Chernoff Thompson Architects** **(Downtown Vancouver)** Employment type: **Full-time** Chernoff Thompson Architects has a position available for a team member that is an Intern Architect registered with the AIBC. We are looking for well-rounded team members with experience or potential in all aspects of design, documentation and construction. We have a number of high tech/biotech private sector and institutional clients and currently have projects for many different post-secondary institutions in Canada, as well as various projects for all levels of government. Our office is located in downtown Vancouver and usually consists of approximately 45\+ staff. We require motivated, highly disciplined staff with a strong design sense that enjoy working as part of a team. We are looking for team players, who are comfortable working with clients and consultants and have a high interest in design, detailing, and construction documents. We are looking for team members who will benefit from working in small groups and directly with our Principals, Associates \& Project Managers. **Ideal candidates will have:** · Registration as an Intern Architect with the AIBC · Graduation from a University professional degree in the study of Architecture from a Canadian or equivalent institution · At least 3, up to 6 years' experience in British Columbia or equivalent jurisdiction. Candidates with different experience, education and skills than requested will have the salary range adjusted as appropriate. This position is intended to be a primary (100%) in-office position during the 3 month probation period. It will continue to be a primarily in-office position with an option to work from home up to 20% of the time after the probation period for intermediate and above levels.
