Gulf Associates
Southern Europe
Graduate Frontend Developer
Role Description
This role focuses on building and maintaining the digital tools our advisors use to clarify market data. We are currently developing a customized monitoring dashboard for an Athens-based shipping and logistics provider, and this position will handle the daily frontend updates and data displays required for that project. You will work on creating clear, functional interfaces that help our team present commercial findings to regional investors.
**About Gulf Associates**
Gulf Associates is a commercial advisory firm that identifies and analyzes the decisions shaping the Gulf region. We advise international investors, family groups, and sovereign entities on how to approach market entry and expansion across the GCC. Our firm avoids the usual consulting reports and instead provides direct commercial judgment on capital commitments. We are a fully remote, distributed team that stays close to counterparty realities and commercial data rather than being tied to a physical office. Our culture is direct and pragmatic, valuing clear logical positions and factual accuracy.
**What you will do**
* Develop and update user interface components for our internal commercial monitoring tools.
* Translate complex spreadsheets and market-clearing data into clean, functional visual displays.
* Create responsive web pages from basic wireframes and design logic provided by the senior team.
* Maintain and fix visual errors on our current shipping and logistics project dashboard.
* Ensure data consistency across tables, charts, and reporting modules.
* Collaborate with our data specialists to make sure frontend elements sync correctly with background information.
* Test tool functionality across modern browsers to ensure stable performance for clients.
* Gather feedback from senior partners to adjust tool layouts based on real deal requirements.
**What we are looking for**
* A bachelor degree in computer science, web development, or a related technical field.
* Comfortable working with foundational technologies like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
* Some exposure to or basic familiarity with modern libraries like React or Vue.
* A clear, logical approach to writing code and organizing files.
* Active attention to detail, specifically regarding the alignment and legibility of data.
* Ability to explain technical layout constraints to the non-technical advisory team.
* Willingness to learn and adapt based on the practical needs of commercial projects.
**Helpful background**
* Familiarity with data visualization tools or chart-building libraries.
* Basic understanding of version control using Git.
* An interest in global trade, logistics, or the business news of the GCC region.
* Previous experience with remote project collaboration tools.
**What the role offers**
* A fully remote position with no requirement for a physical office presence.
* The opportunity to work within a flat organizational structure with direct access to senior partners.
* Engagement with high-level commercial logic and real-world investment decisions.
* A professional environment that values technical performance over corporate buzzwords.
**Employment setup**
This is a permanent, full-time, fully remote role. This engagement is through our headquarters in the United Arab Emirates, while the work connects to our ongoing project activity in Greece. Candidates can cooperate from any location that allows for consistent overlap with our core business hours. The position is paid and involves a full-time workload. No application fees, starting fees, or equipment purchase requirements exist for this role. We rely on standard digital security practices to protect firm and client data across our distributed team.
**How we work**
We believe in helping clients reach a definitive commitment or walk away from a deal with confidence. At Gulf Associates, we value the ability to look at messy commercial data and produce a coherent, useful result. We favor direct communication and logical clarity over decorative reports. Our developers are part of that process, ensuring that the visual tools we use are as sharp as our commercial judgment.
