Now, we’re looking for a **Junior Software Engineer** to join us as we transform one of our most established platforms into a modern cloud-based SaaS solution. **A chance to grow with a platform in transition** This isn’t a role where you’ll be stuck maintaining outdated technology forever. You’ll join a team at a unique point in its journey. Today, the Workforce Rostering platform supports critical workforce operations through a combination **of VB.NET, SQL Server, ASP.NET Webforms, mobile applications, and APIs** . But the future is already underway. We are actively rebuilding the platform using **C#, .NET Core, React, and modern Micro-Front-End architecture** as part of a **major SaaS transformation programme.** You’ll begin by learning the existing platform, understanding the business domain, and contributing to enhancements that matter to real users. Over time, you’ll progressively move into modern technologies and help shape the next generation of the product. For someone early in their engineering career, it’s an opportunity to learn both how enterprise systems work today and how modern platforms are built for tomorrow. **The kind of engineer we’re looking for** You might be a graduate with a placement year behind you. You might already have 1–2 years of commercial experience. Either way, you’re someone who enjoys solving problems, wants to keep learning, and is excited by the idea of building software with real-world impact. We’re interested in finding someone curious, collaborative, and motivated to grow. You’ll work closely with experienced developers, QA engineers, and product teams in an environment where learning and contribution are genuinely encouraged. **What you’ll be working with** Initially, you’ll support and enhance parts of our existing platform, including: * VB.NET WinForms applications * SQL Server databases and business logic * ASP.NET Webforms applications * Existing APIs As you develop, you’ll also gain exposure to: * C# * .NET Core * React * API development * Modern SaaS architecture * Micro-Front-End frameworks **What we’re hoping you’ll bring** We’re looking for someone with a **strong understanding of software development fundamentals** and **some exposure to C# or .NET development** in a commercial environment. You’ll have an interest in APIs and modern web technologies, alongside strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset. Most importantly, **you’ll be someone who is eager to learn, contribute to the team, and continue developing your technical skills** within a supportive engineering environment.
