Tech Intern - App Development

This role is ideal for a student or early-career developer looking to gain hands-on startup experience while contributing to a mission-driven project. The intern will work closely with the founder to help bring app concepts and features to life, participate in product discussions, and contribute to real-world development tasks from planning through implementation. You will also collaborate with experienced developers to create seamless user experiences, contribute to system architecture design, and support the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC). **Responsibilities** * Assist in designing and developing responsive web applications using front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, React, and Bootstrap. * Support back-end development tasks utilizing frameworks like Django, Spring Framework, ASP.NET, Ruby on Rails, and Node.js. * Contribute to database management and optimization with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, SQLite, and other data storage solutions. * Implement RESTful APIs and web services using GraphQL, SOAP, and JSON to facilitate seamless data exchange between systems. * Collaborate on system architecture planning and deployment automation using Docker, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub, Git, SVN, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices. * Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and debugging activities to ensure high-quality software delivery following Agile methodologies to improve app performance. * Collaborate on UI/UX improvements and user experience design * Participate in brainstorming sessions for new features and platform improvements * Assist with API integrations, databases, and user authentication systems **Requirements** * Recent grad or currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field with a strong interest in app development. * Familiarity with front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS), JavaScript (TypeScript), jQuery, AJAX, and responsive web design principles. * Basic understanding of back-end frameworks such as Django or Spring Framework; experience with MVC architecture is a plus. * Knowledge of databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server or MongoDB; ability to write efficient SQL queries.
