ABOUT GAARA AI:
GAARA AI is an early-stage AI startup incubated at Nirmaan, IIT Madras. We are building an AI-powered platform that uses computer vision and machine learning to analyze human body movements for fitness, yoga, physiotherapy, and sports training. Our goal is to make professional coaching accessible anywhere using real-time posture detection and feedback through mobile devices.
Role Description
We are looking for passionate and self-motivated AI/ML Interns who are interested in working on real-world computer vision and deep learning projects. Interns will work closely with the core team on pose detection, exercise analysis, and real-time AI systems.
**Responsibilities**
* Work on Computer Vision using OpenCV / MediaPipe / Python
* Assist in building pose detection and posture correction models
* Help in training and testing machine learning models
* Work on real-time video processing
* Support mobile / backend integration for AI features
* Participate in team meetings and product development discussions
**Requirements**
* Basic knowledge of Python
* Interest in AI / ML / Computer Vision
* Familiar with OpenCV, MediaPipe, or TensorFlow (preferred)
* Willing to learn and work in a startup environment
* Good problem-solving skills
* Able to work from Nirmaan IIT Madras (at least few days per week)\\
