Media Intern – National Commission for Women (NCW)

**Duration:** 3 months (extendable up to 6 months)
About the Internship
The National Commission for Women (NCW) is seeking a motivated and creative Media Intern to support its media, communication, and public outreach initiatives. The intern will work closely with the Media Cell to enhance awareness of NCW's work, campaigns, reports, and policy interventions related to women's rights and empowerment.
Key Responsibilities
* Draft press releases, media advisories, briefs, speeches, and communication materials.
* Assist in managing NCW's social media platforms and digital campaigns.
* Create engaging content including posts, reels, infographics, and awareness materials.
* Monitor and compile print, digital, television, and social media coverage.
* Prepare daily media monitoring reports and coverage analyses.
* Support the organization and documentation of press conferences, consultations, workshops, and public outreach events.
* Conduct research on women-centric issues, policies, legislation, and current affairs.
* Coordinate with media organizations, journalists, and communication partners as required.
* Assist in website and newsletter content development.
Eligibility
* Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Media Studies, English, Political Science, or related disciplines.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.
* Proficiency in MS Office and social media platforms.
* Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing tools, or similar software is desirable.
* Demonstrated interest in public policy, governance, social issues, and women's empowerment.
