Role Description
**Overview**

**Duties**
* Assist in providing technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
* Troubleshoot software problems and perform routine maintenance on computers and mobile devices.
* Support the management of computer hardware assets and help maintain IT infrastructure components such as servers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and network devices like Meraki and LAN setups.
* Help monitor and configure network services including DNS, TCP/IP protocols, Active Directory, GPO (Group Policy Objects), and Windows Server environments.
* Support help desk operations by logging incidents in ServiceNow or BMC Remedy, tracking issues with Jira or SCCM, and assisting users via remote or on-site support.
* Contribute to network administration tasks such as configuring LAN/WAN connections, managing firewalls, VPN access, and troubleshooting TCP/UDP issues.
* Collaborate with team members on projects involving IT infrastructure upgrades, security enhancements, and documentation of system configurations.
**Qualifications**
* Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Basic understanding of computer hardware components and operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and basic troubleshooting techniques.
* Knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, and network security fundamentals like firewalls and VPNs.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
* Demonstrated analysis skills with attention to detail when diagnosing problems or documenting procedures.
* Enthusiasm for learning new technologies such as ServiceNow, Jira, SCCM, GPOs, Active Directory, BMC Remedy, Meraki networking equipment, and Microsoft Windows Server environments.
