Quality Assurance Engineer Intern
Role Description
****Must be able to work 40 hours a week on site****
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented **QA Intern** to join our software development team. As a QA Intern, you will work closely with developers and QA engineers to test software products, identify bugs, and ensure our applications meet high-quality standards. This internship offers hands-on experience in manual and automated testing practices within an agile development environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Execute test cases (manual and/or automated) under supervision.
* Identify, record, and track bugs using issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
* Assist in writing and updating test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
* Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and QA review meetings.
* Collaborate with developers and other QA team members to ensure product quality.
* Help verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.
* Document test results and report issues clearly and concisely.
Learn and use QA tools, frameworks, and best practices.
**Qualifications:**
* A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
* Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
* Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) is a plus.
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.
**Preferred Skills (Optional but Nice to Have):**
* Experience with any QA/testing tools like Selenium, Postman, JUnit, TestNG.
* Exposure to version control systems like Git.
* Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
* Knowledge of databases and ability to write basic SQL queries.
