Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Intern
Role Description
We are developing next-generation **collaborative robotic systems** that combine AI, simulation, and real-world robotics to improve safety and efficiency in extreme environments.
We are seeking a motivated **Entry-Level Mechatronics \& Robotics Intern** to join our R\&D team for a **3-month hybrid internship**. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in **robot prototyping, simulation, control, and AI integration** while contributing to meaningful, impact-driven robotics research.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Support the design and modification of parts using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and ....
* Collaborate on tooling design and selection for prototyping and manufacturing operations
* Implement and test robotic control algorithms using **ROS** (topics, nodes, and publishers/subscribers).
* Support motion planning, sensor fusion, and system-level simulation tasks.
* Collaborate on design and validation of **autonomous and teleoperated robots** for field applications.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Pursuing or recently completed a degree in **Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering**.
* Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Design or related field
* Foundational understanding of **ROS, Linux systems, and robotic simulation tools (CoppeliaSim, Gazebo, or RViz)**.
* Programming skills in **Python or C\+\+** for control and automation tasks.
* Knowledge of **robotic kinematics, dynamics, or embedded systems** is a plus.
* Strong problem-solving mindset, curiosity, and ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Pay: From $1\.00 per hour
Pay: $36,000\.00 - $71,639\.91 per year
