Role Description

**What To Expect** Start Date: September 2026 Location: Amsterdam Duration: 6 Months Length: Fulltime (40h a week) Please note: In order to be considered, you must be enrolled in education for the full duration of the internship. As a data scientist in this position, you will drive business impact by developing and deploying advanced analytics and machine learning solutions to support Tesla's Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHS\&S) goals. You will collaborate closely with EHS\&S specialists, operations teams, IT applications, and business intelligence teams to uncover insights and drive data-driven decision-making across global business units. **What You'll Do** - Collaborate with stakeholders to frame and solve business challenges, identify key opportunities, and develop data-driven solutions to drive EHS\&S outcomes - Develop and deploy models, machine learning algorithms, and statistical techniques to drive insights and recommendations - Design and implement experiments to measure the effectiveness of EHS\&S goals and identify areas for improvement - Create data visualizations and reports to communicate complex insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders - Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data science, and explore new tools and frameworks to keep our analytics capabilities cutting-edge - Propose key recommendations to influence business leaders through strong reporting and analytical showcasing, presentation skills, and verbal and written communication **What You'll Bring** - Strong background in data science, data engineer, machine learning, statistics, and data analysis - Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent experience - Open-minded, collaborative, and team-oriented attitude with the ability to think outside the box for solutions to complex challenges - Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts and strategies to technical and non-technical audiences - Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills to work independently and focused - Knowledgeable in Python, R, SQL, machine learning libraries (e.g. scikit-learn, TensorFlow), and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI); experience with deep learning, natural language processing - Eagerness to learn about novel ways to make impact in the environmental, health, safety, and security domain; existing knowledge is a plus , Tesla
