Intern DevOps Engineer (Agile, AWS)

**Job description** ------------------- * The DevOps Engineer role at Mercatus includes (but is not limited to): * Collaborate with developers to support deployment and automation needs. * Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and ArgoCD to automate deployment to Kubernetes. * Handle lifecycle management and upgrades for Kubernetes clusters (EKS) and associated resources. * Enhancing infrastructure and application monitoring and alerting using the Grafana LGTM stack. * Maintain and improve Kubernetes observability and alerting systems. * Apply security best practices in Kubernetes, including RBAC, network isolation, and secret management. * Implemented advanced Kubernetes features such as HPA, PDBs, advanced scheduling. * Configure and manage Ingress Controllers, network policies, custom Helm charts, and resource limits/requests for fine-grained control * Participate in off-hours/on-call support rotation and be willing to handle urgent production issues during mid-night or non-working hours when required. **Your skills and experience** ------------------------------ * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * 6 month of experience with automated provisioning, Cloud Infrastructure, Continuous Integration, Deployment Pipelines. * Understanding of a relevant scripting language (eg: python. bash). * Solid understanding of **AWS core services**, including S3 bucket, EC2, EKS, VPC, Load Balancers, and NAT Gateway,... * Hands-on experience with: * Jenkins and ArgoCD for CI/CD. * Terraform. * Helm. * Kubernetes operations and application deployment. * Infrastructure and application monitoring and alerting using the Grafana LGTM stack**.** * Cloudflare operations include DNS Management, Proxy, SSL/TLS, WAF basics, and Analytics and Logs. * Familiar with databases: **Microsoft SQL Server**, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Kafka. * Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and respond to mid-night or after-hours incidents when required. * Ability to communicate effectively in English. ### **Nice to Have** * A security-first mindset and awareness of cloud security practices, Kubernetes hardening practices (Pod Security Policies, image scanning, audit logs). * Exposure to **Azure Cloud** environments. * Scripting knowledge in Bash, Python, or similar. ### **Soft Skills** * Passionate individual who values team culture and collaboration. * Demonstrates a willingness to learn and grow with new technologies. * Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. * Understands best practices in building highly available and resilient systems. * Communicates clearly and works effectively in a cross-functional team. **Why you'll love working here** -------------------------------- **Salary \& Allowances*** Competitive income with 13th month salary * Annual leave: 12 days/year and other leaves/public holidays in accordance with the Labor Law of Vietnam * Periodic medical checkup, Health/Social Insurance.
