Role Description

**Summary** The co-op student will be working on job assignments related to their computer science or engineering education. These increasingly challenging assignments will provide foremost an effective learning assignment and then a sound intellectual and/or financial return for the PCC organization. **Essential Duties And Responsibilities** * Assist in the design, development, and implementation of control systems for various projects. * Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and test control algorithms and software. * Participate in the troubleshooting and debugging of control systems. * Support the integration of hardware and software components. * Conduct research and analysis to improve existing control systems. * Will work with controls and automation equipment. * Prepare technical documentation and reports. * Student will attend a weekly departmental meeting. * Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and review sessions. * Any and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned. **Qualifications** * Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. * Basic understanding of control systems, automation, and instrumentation. * Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems is a plus. * Proficient with Microsoft Office * Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C\+\+, Python, or MATLAB a plus * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. * Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. **EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS** Full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
