🚀
**We're hiring! ML \& Software Engineer (Junior/Mid)**
🚀
Ever wanted your code to rewrite the rules of chemistry? At
**Molecule.one**
, we’re leveraging AI to solve the unpredictability of drug discovery—a bottleneck that drives average development costs over $1 billion.
From collaborating with
**OpenAI**
on the first AI-proposed chemical experiment validated in a physical lab, to winning the $1M Chemical Innovation Challenge, we are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Now, we are building the
**Maria platform**
—a closed-loop system combining AI, automation, and proprietary data.
Want to build the brain behind the automated lab? Come join our team of \~30 brilliant minds in Warsaw/Kraków/San Francisco!
🧭 The Role
You'll work right where machine learning meets the physical world, tightening the loop between our models and automated experiments. This is a hands-on ML engineering role—you'll build the models
*and*
the automation pipelines that keep them fed with high-quality lab data.
* **Design \& Implement:**
ML and data pipelines for predicting chemical reaction outcomes using the world's largest databases.
* **Close the Loop:**
Build the automation layer and agentic approaches to prioritize and propose lab experiments.
* **Productionize:**
Move ML models to production and build tools that accelerate the work of our chemistry team.
* **Push the Envelope:**
Follow ML literature and innovate (we've twice published SOTA results in reaction generation!).
👤 Your Profile
**Must-haves:**
* **Solid ML/DL Foundation:**
Comfortable building, training, and reasoning about deep learning models.
* **Strong Software Engineering:**
Python \& PyTorch are your go-tos. You write production-grade code and care about the architecture your models live in.
* **High Agency:**
You aren’t afraid to question authority, propose your own solutions, and work independently.
* **End-to-End Mindset:**
A strong bias toward making things
*work*
—you care about turning a model's output into a real-world result.
* **Language:**
Communicative English (B2 or higher).
**Nice-to-haves:**
* An interest in chemistry 🧪 or biology 🧬 (no prior deep domain knowledge required!).
* Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript 🛠️ or MLOps/DevOps tech.
* Research experience (thesis, technical blogs, or publication co-authorship).
🎉 What We Offer
* **Competitive Salary (B2B or equivalent):**
* **Junior:**
12,000 - 16,000 PLN \+ VAT / month
* **Mid:**
16,000 - 20,000 PLN \+ VAT / month
* **Perks \& Equity:**
Generous equity package, flexible working hours, and all the top-tier gear you need.
* **Flexibility:**
Hybrid work policy with great office spaces in
**Warsaw**
and
**Kraków**
.
* **Growth:**
Opportunities to publish/present at top venues and learn within an interdisciplinary team of chemists, software devs, and ML scientists.
