Founders Associate & AI Engineering Intern

**Company Description** Pace Payments is building Europe's leading platform for AI-based receivables management: empathic, compliant, and measurably better. Supported by Bocconi for Innovation (B4i), we replace outdated, manual collection workflows with automated, data-driven solutions. Our platform uses machine learning and advanced analytics to tailor every interaction and optimize recovery strategies, while ensuring every debtor is treated fairly and respectfully throughout the process, in full compliance with European regulations. **Role Description** As Founders Associate \& AI Engineering Intern, you'll join our CTO Office and work directly with the founding team, hands-on from day one. The role is based in Munich and remote-friendly, combining strategic and technical responsibilities. You'll work directly with the CTO on high-impact strategic and operational initiatives, take ownership of cross-functional projects from idea to execution, and shape our AI product by turning customer feedback into concrete improvements. You'll also research and validate new AI use cases and business opportunities, ranging from product discovery and market research to building and testing AI-driven features, data pipelines, and prototypes that improve receivables management workflows. **Qualifications** * Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Computer Science, AI, or a related field (e.g., engineering, physics, mathematics, data science). * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex issues and derive actionable insights. * A highly organized, hands-on, proactive mindset, comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced startup environment. * Foundational knowledge of AI or machine learning concepts, and practical experience with programming languages commonly used in data or AI (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or similar). * Interest in fintech, payments, or financial services, and willingness to learn about receivables management processes and regulatory considerations. * Clear communication in English (spoken and written); German or other European languages are an advantage. * Collaborative mindset and openness to feedback, with the ability to work closely with founders in a small team. * Previous internship or project experience in startups, consulting, product management, software engineering, or data analysis is a plus. **Why Pace** **You'll get real ownership, direct exposure to the founding team, and equity in an early-stage company shaping the future of AI-native receivables management.** * **Questions?
