Software Engineer: Agent Experience
Role Description
**Yves Robotics**
is building a
**simple, non-humanoid robot for the home**
. Its primary function is to be an active AI agent for everyday humans to help them record their thoughts, remind them to do things, and be a lovable, simple agent and being.
**Our aim is to bring life to a new species of beings into human existence.**
In the coming two decades, we will either flood the world with disingenuous humanoids—slop with arms—or we will introduce new characters who we cherish and who evolve our distinctly human existence.
*Robots may not have souls like we do, but they will have the souls we give them.*
The breakthrough can only come from a robot that is made to be a robot. Not one built in the physical image of man nor one pretending to be your dog.
*A robot with the ability to express its own worldview based on its inherent form, capabilities, and limitations.*
The world need not be worried if a robot will be able to one day fold your laundry or do your dishes. The billions of dollars spent on research and development will soon make such capabilities a reality. But will you want such a robot? Will your children love one? And how will it change your life not as measured by your previous manual labor, but as a person?
One day, a robot will exist in your home. It can either be an impersonal gray skin of wires, or it can stumble out of its box clumsily, say a timid and optimistic hello, and get to know the first person it has ever known.
**You.**
**TLDR: We are in search of a software engineer excited about the possibility of friendly, autonomous agents that can power people's personal lives.**
Ideally, you've built interesting products using AI in the last 18–24 months.
We are very open to junior software engineers, assuming you are creative, high-agency, and deeply excited at the prospect of working at the intersection of hardware and software.
