2027 Graduate Program- Sanctions Compliance Project & Systems Management Intern

**Business Unit** The S1 Legal \& Administration Line functions as the backbone support system for corporate security, legal affairs, government affairs, administrative affairs, procurement, infrastructure, and corporate social responsibility. **What the Role Entails** A hands-on, technology-major student responsible for developing and implementing technology tools that support the daily functions of the Group Sanctions Compliance Centre. The role is system-oriented, combining system design, development, testing, fine-tuning, and daily maintenance of the systems and supporting tools that assist sanctions compliance and end-to-end workflows. The role will work closely with sanctions compliance officers, product, engineering, and data teams. This is a frontline, hands-on role focused on supporting the development, implementation, and continuous optimisation of technical solutions related to the Group's Sanctions Compliance programme. Prior regulatory or financial-crime compliance experience is not a necessary. Top-performing interns may be considered for 2027 graduate offers upon evaluation, subject to actual business needs. **Key Responsibilities** ● Support the design, development, testing, and daily maintenance of sanctions compliance systems (including screening strategy and engine rule tuning, operational workflow tracking, etc.). ● Support the development, release, and post-launch monitoring of new system features and AI agent use cases (such as sanctions case review and analysis, automated drafting assistance, etc.), and continuously refine models and prompt engineering based on feedback from team members within the Centre. ● Participate in the digital structuring of daily sanctions workflows (e.g., advisory case records, analytical opinion capturing), ensuring that the entire lifecycle of each task is fully recordable, traceable, and reportable. ● Monitor regulatory guidelines and insights on RegTech (including emerging practices in AI agents and workflow automation), propose system optimisation solutions, and proactively bring innovative ideas into the team. ● Collaborate with product, engineering, data, operations, and compliance teams to translate sanctions workflows into systems and supporting tools. ● Based on internal team requests, take charge of system testing and quality reviews; document test cases, defects, and resolution paths. ● Prepare regular project progress reports and promptly escalate project issues or bottlenecks that could potentially impact project quality and schedules to the team or management. ● Perform ad-hoc tasks as requested by the team or senior management. **Who We Look For** ● **2027** graduates (Bachelor's degree or above), with a preferred major in Software Engineering, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Information Management, or related disciplines. ● Strong logical thinking and structured problem-solving skills, with a genuine passion for resolving real-world compliance challenges through technology. ● Familiarity with basic system development and testing lifecycles; experience with academic projects, internships, or personal portfolios is preferred. ● Working knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language; basic understanding of AI / LLM applications is a plus. ● Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to independently drive assigned tasks forward in a fast-paced environment. ● Excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English; Cantonese is a plus. ● No prior regulatory or financial-crime compliance experience required; structured training will be provided upon onboarding. **Diversity, Equity \& Inclusion at Tencent** Diversity, equity and inclusion are important, interdependent components of our workplace.
