Role Description
**Based: Airport City - Israel. Part-Time.**

**Position Overview**
Are you a technology enthusiast passionate about emerging technologies and building innovative solutions? We are looking for a highly motivated Application Engineer Student to join our team in Tel Aviv Airport City, Israel, on a part-time basis.
In this role, you will explore innovative products, understand how technologies work, build integrations, and transform ideas into working Proofs of Concept. You will combine strong software engineering skills with curiosity, hands-on experimentation, and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies in real-world scenarios.
**Key Responsibilities**
Technology Evaluation
* Evaluate startup products, platforms, and emerging technologies
* Analyze technical architecture, APIs, scalability, and integration potential
* Assess how external technologies can complement Siemens' software solutions
Prototyping \& Integration
* Build Proofs of Concept and demonstration applications
* Develop integrations, connectors, APIs, and automation workflows
* Validate technical feasibility and business value through hands-on implementation
GenAI \& Innovation
* Use modern GenAI tools, AI coding assistants, agents, and MCP-based solutions to accelerate development
* Explore and apply new AI technologies to real business and engineering challenges
Communication \& Documentation
* Document findings, prototypes, and technical recommendations
* Present results to technical and business partners
* Collaborate with Siemens teams, customers, startups, and technology partners
**Required**
**Qualifications**
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related Engineering field
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Fluency in Hebrew and English
**Preferred**
* Experience building applications, integrations, APIs, or automation workflows
* Familiarity with modern GenAI tools, MCP, and AI coding assistants
* Fast learner with strong self-motivation and hands-on builder mindset
* Curiosity and willingness to explore unfamiliar technologies
* Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

**Compensation**
The hourly rate for this position is 80 ILS for students pursuing a bachelor's degree during their first year of employment with Siemens. Starting from their second year of employment, students pursuing a bachelor's degree will receive 90 ILS per hour. Students pursuing a master's degree will receive 90 ILS per hour.
