The team you will be part of Our Backend Team builds the core systems that power seamless commerce operations. We develop and maintain backend services that integrate Warehouse Management Systems, eCommerce marketplaces across Southeast Asia, and Enterprise Resource Planning systems of various brands. By enabling end-to-end automation across order, inventory, and fulfillment workflows, the team helps streamline operations, reduce manual effort, and support scalable business growth. The part you will play As a Java Developer Intern, you will support the Backend Team in developing and maintaining backend systems using Java with the Spring Boot framework. You will work closely with experienced Backend Developers, gaining hands-on exposure to real-world software development processes and modern backend technologies. You will participate in coding, testing, debugging, and code reviews in a production environment, while collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Business Analysts, Product Owners, Quality Control, and technical teams from partner brands to deliver reliable and scalable solutions. As a Java Developer Intern, you will be involved in * Supporting the development and maintenance of backend systems using Java with the Spring Boot framework in a microservices environment. * Assisting in building backend services and RESTful APIs, including asynchronous processing using message brokers such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ. * Participating in coding, testing, bug fixing, and code reviews under the guidance of experienced Backend Developers. * Contributing to technical documentation and supporting system monitoring and stability. * Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Backend, Frontend, Quality Control, and Business Analysts. * Learning, applying, and sharing new technologies and real-world software development practices. What we are looking for - the ideal profile * Final-year student or fresh graduate majoring in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Software Engineering. * Basic knowledge of Java and Object-Oriented Programming principles. * Understanding of fundamental concepts related to RESTful APIs and HTTP. * Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. * Strong logical thinking, proactive learning mindset, and a high sense of responsibility. * Careful, diligent, and responsible working attitude, with good teamwork and communication skills. **Preferred Qualifications** * Knowledge of or hands-on experience with the Spring Boot framework. * Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases. * Basic understanding of Clean Code practices, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles. * Exposure to backend development through academic projects, personal projects, or internships. * Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies in a fast-paced environment In return, you will be getting * Hands-on experience working on real production backend systems using Java with the Spring Boot framework. * Direct mentoring and technical guidance from experienced Backend Developers and Senior Engineers. * Exposure to modern backend architectures, including microservices and asynchronous processing. * Practical experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and technical teams from partner brands. * A strong foundation in real-world software development practices, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role.
