Whether your passion lies in writing clean C/C\+\+ code or designing PCB layouts, you can tailor this role to focus on
**firmware, hardware, or both**
—while writing your scientific thesis with us!
**At a Glance**
* **Location:**
Graz (Science Park Graz) / Hybrid
* **Hours:**
10–20 hours/week (Highly flexible around your university schedule)
* **Compensation:**
From €1,961 / month (Full-time equivalent, negotiable) or freelance/honorarium basis
* **Languages:**
English (required), German (a plus)
**What You'll Do**
* **Support \& Scale:**
Drive the development and optimization of our core measurement platform.
* **Firmware Focus:**
Optimize data transmission, develop drivers and algorithms, and boost system stability, speed, and overall functionality.
* **Hardware Focus:**
Adapt and design new PCB layouts for cutting-edge sensor applications.
* **Hands-On Engineering:**
Handle the assembly, commissioning, and integration of new prototypes.
* **Real-World Testing:**
Put your designs to the test on internal test benches and real-world vehicles.
**What You Bring**
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (FH/Uni) in
**Electrical Engineering, Telematics, Embedded Systems**
, or a related field.
* Experience in MCU programming (preferably within the
**STM32**
ecosystem).
* Solid foundation in electronics, measurement technology, and sensorics.
* A structured, self-driven working style with a genuine passion for tinkering (
**"Tüfteln"**
) and experimenting.
