AI Design Intern

At MonsoonFish, you'll be pivotal in evolving how we work and what we create. This is a hybrid role sitting at the intersection of AI, product, design, and engineering. You won't just advise on AI — you'll build, ship, and own products end to end, while helping the studio stay at the leading edge of AI-enabled design and development. **Your Focus Spans Five Core Pillars** **Executing \& Developing Products** * Design, build, and ship products and internal tools from concept to production. * Write and integrate code across frontend and/or backend, using AI-assisted development workflows to move fast without sacrificing quality. * Rapidly prototype ideas, validate them, and turn the best ones into shippable products. * Own delivery timelines and quality — take features from idea → prototype → launch → iteration. **AI-Enabled Design \& Development Practices** * Be the studio's AI mascot and evangelist — stay at the edge of AI tools and methodologies and understand how they reshape design and development. * Inculcate an "AI-enabled" mindset across internal processes. * Share insights so our workflows and delivery stay industry-leading in AI adoption. **Product Ownership \& Management** * Own the product lifecycle across design, tech, implementation, and QA. * Ensure the product vision is met through effective execution. * Facilitate collaboration and keep the team aligned on outcomes. **Bridging Design \& Implementation** * Be the connector between the design and tech teams. * Build a deeper understanding of both design foundations and technical principles. * Align how design and tech work together to be efficient and accurate. * Translate design know-how for engineers and technical constraints for designers. **Team \& Collaboration** * Work effectively with design, frontend, and backend teams to deliver high-quality output. * Conduct sessions and workshops to upskill the team and drive alignment. **What We're Looking For** * Hands-on experience building and shipping products — you can code, prototype, and take something to production. * Fluency (or strong curiosity \+ fast learning) with modern AI tools for development, design, and workflow automation. * Solid grasp of product thinking — you understand users, scope, and trade-offs, not just features. * Comfortable working across the stack and across disciplines (design ↔ engineering). * Strong communication skills — able to teach, evangelize, and align teams. * Self-driven, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to own outcomes within planned timelines. **Nice to Have** * Experience with design tools (Figma) and design systems. * Background in a studio/agency or fast-moving product environment. * Portfolio of shipped products, tools, or AI experiments. **What You'll Get** * A pivotal role shaping how a design studio adopts AI. * Freedom to build, experiment, and own products end to end. * A collaborative team across design and engineering.
