FAT International
Western Europe
AI Operations & Innovation Intern
Role Description
**The Role**
FAT International is hiring an AI Operations \& Innovation Intern to help drive the AI transformation of a fast-growing company. We have put Claude at the core of how FAT works: an AI company bot that the whole team interacts with every day and that already automates our finance and operations processes end-to-end. This is a rare opportunity to shape how an entire company works. You design AI workflows, rethink processes across every department, and decide what gets automated next, shaping the structure of a fast-growing startup along the way. At the same time you own the system in daily operations and support the team whenever something needs a quick fix. You work directly with senior executives, and what you build becomes part of how FAT runs.
**What You Will Do**
●
*Shape FAT's AI transformation:*
identify where AI can make the company faster and smarter, and decide together with the team what gets AI-enabled next.
●
*Design and launch new AI workflows:*
prototype with Claude, test with the team, and roll out processes that the whole company uses every day.
●
*Level up what already runs:*
make our existing automations more robust, smarter and more independent.
●
*Own the system in daily operations:*
keep the company bot and its workflows running smoothly, and be the go-to person when the team needs a quick fix or urgent support.
●
*Build for scale:*
keep processes documented and stable so the system grows with FAT.
**Who You Are**
● A student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Data Science, Business or a comparable field. The degree matters less than the mindset: you are AI-native and excited about what AI can do inside a company.
● You have ideally gone beyond chatting with AI: building automations, agents or workflows, or you are eager to learn fast.
● Relevant work experience in an environment that allowed you to demonstrate ownership and accountability. This does not need to be in tech, but rather any demanding, fast-paced environment (Consulting, PE, VC, etc.).
● A process thinker: you see how a company works and design smarter setups. Technology is your tool, not the end in itself.
● Technical enough to build things that last and run stably.
● A basic understanding of accounting and finance processes is a plus.
● Hands-on and pragmatic: you enjoy solving things quickly when they are urgent.
● Clear communicator in English, ideally also German.
**What we offer**
● Shape the AI transformation of an entire company, with real responsibility from day one and a direct line to the founders.
● Immediate impact: what you build is used by the whole team every day.
● An inside view of how a fast-growing motorsport and culture brand operates.
● Applied AI experience that very few students can put on a CV.
● Emerge in the world of motorsport and meet the who is who.
● Flat hierarchies and short decision-making processes.
● Independent and autonomous work.
**About FAT**
FAT International is a motorsport and culture company built on a single conviction: Drive. Originally a logistics label that sponsored race car teams and won Le Mans in 1994, the brand was revived by Ferdi Porsche in 2022 with a mission to make motorsport more accessible and fun, blending racing and wider culture, and giving the sport its soul back. Today the brand spans the annual FAT Ice Race and Mankei events, a growing clothing department, and FAT Media. On the racing side, the FAT Karting League (co founded with F1 race engineer Rob Smedley) gives young drivers an affordable path into the sport, with the league winner earning a seat in FAT Racing, a formula programme with ambitions to reach F1\.
