Liquida
UK & Ireland
Product & Systems Engineer
Role Description
**Company Description**
Liquida is building regulated infrastructure for tokenised UK Government Bonds. By transforming traditional Gilt ISINs into price-accruing digital securities on Ethereum, Liquida provides institutions with enhanced capital efficiency. The platform allows the deployment of tokenised Gilts within isolated credit markets on-chain, enabling borrowing against high-quality sovereign collateral.
We are early-stage, moving fast and building for institutions.
**Role Description**
Liquida is seeking a Product \& Systems Engineer for a remote internship.
This is an 8-week full-time internship running from 7th of September 2026 to 30th of October 2026\. The role is remote, open to UK-based candidates. The role is paid monthly via PAYE under a fixed-term worker contract. AI-assisted development is standard across the team and access to a professional AI coding tool will be provided - you may use AI to investigate code, draft implementations and write tests, but you will be expected to understand, verify and explain the work you produce.
You will work directly with our Technical Co-Founder across our onboarding systems, governance and administration platform, user applications, cloud infrastructure, APIs and smart contracts. Your work will include:
* Studying existing systems and mapping architecture, data flows, external integrations and areas of technical risk
* Building and improving features using our existing technology stack
* Reviewing user journeys and helping turn complex financial workflows into clear, intuitive interfaces
* Supporting integrations with custody, identity, market data and blockchain providers
* Writing tests across user, administrative and operational workflows, reproducing bugs and improving error handling
* Reviewing permissions, validation, sensitive data and failure scenarios with a security mindset
* Maintaining technical and product documentation as the platform evolves
**Who This Is For**
You are a recent graduate from
computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline with a portfolio to show. You are interested in how financial infrastructure is being rebuilt on-chain and want to work on something real. You can read unfamiliar code and work out how it behaves, and you have experience with TypeScript or another modern programming language alongside the basics of web applications, APIs, databases and Git.
You understand what good output looks like and can iterate on it without supervision. You will leave with a strong reference from the technical co-founder, real shipped code in a live product and a project you can point to at the start of a career in blockchain engineering.
