Role Description
IT Support Intern**Location:** Pune**Job Type:** Full-Time Internship**Duration:** 3 Months**Department:** HR-IT
About the Role
We are looking for a **proactive and enthusiastic IT Support Intern** to join our IT team. This role is ideal for a fresher or student who is passionate about technology and wants to gain hands-on experience in **IT support, troubleshooting, hardware, networking, and IT operations**.
You will work closely with the IT team to provide day-to-day technical support to employees and help ensure that IT systems, devices, and services are running smoothly.
What You Will Do* Provide **first-level IT support** to employees for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
* Troubleshoot laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, and other IT peripherals.
* Assist users with **Windows and macOS** troubleshooting and basic software-related issues.
* Set up and configure laptops and IT equipment for new employees.
* Assist with employee **onboarding and offboarding** activities, including IT asset handover and collection.
* Support basic troubleshooting of **Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN, and internet connectivity** issues.
* Install and configure approved software and applications.
* Maintain accurate records of **IT assets, laptop assignments, repairs, and inventory**.
* Assist with physical asset verification and regular IT inventory checks.
* Coordinate with IT vendors and service providers for hardware repairs and replacements.
* Maintain IT support documentation, trackers, and troubleshooting records.
* Manage and update IT support tickets and ensure issues are properly documented and escalated when required.
* Follow IT security, data protection, and company policies.
* Support the IT team with day-to-day IT operations and other technical tasks as required.
What We Are Looking For* Pursuing or recently completed a **degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field**.
* Basic understanding of computer hardware and operating systems.
* Basic knowledge of **Windows and macOS**.
* Understanding of basic networking concepts such as **IP addresses, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and LAN**.
* Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned tasks.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good to Have* Basic knowledge of **Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace**.
* Familiarity with IT helpdesk or ticketing systems.
* Basic knowledge of IT asset management.
* Basic understanding of cybersecurity and IT security best practices.
